Responsibility:
1. Support global purchasing project
2. Manage and lead activities to improve supplier quality, delivery, and performance for the assigned commodity area.
3. Drive the supplier complaint management according to the defined escalation levels, lead the issue resolution and root-cause analysis processes associated with supplier quality issues using 8D approach.
4. Ensure supplier quality be in control, monitor the supplier PPM and reduce supplier quality PPM to meet annual target. Conduct annual audit to supplier and improve supplier quality.
5. Lead Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) qualification activities for key components.
6. Utilize standard processes to audit new suppliers, and drive suppliers to improve according to action registers.
7. Make supplier development plan and help/train supplier to improve to meet our target step by step according to QS/TS requirement for current active suppliers.
8. Support efforts to fully realize cost saving opportunities.
Requirements:
1. Demonstrate the use and understanding of APQP is desired, and familiar the quality management tools SPC, MSA, FPMEA, can manage APQP for new projects.
2. Must have demonstrated understanding of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) processes and implementation.
3. Fluent using basic quality analysis and statistical tools
4. Persistent drive for results utilizing sound project management, organizational and problem solving skills
5. Must be willing to work in a results based, fast paced environment, with minimal supervision
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or material engineering or similar
2. Minimum of 5 years of work experience relating to mechanical components, such as machining, stampings, sinter metal parts, plastic/rubber, casting, welding, painting etc.
3. Domestic and international travel is required (>75%).
4. Working knowledge of VDA, IATF16949 and APQP standards and processes
5. Background in Statistical Process Control, capability analysis (Cp, Cpk)
6. Capable to manage complex projects.
7. Fluent English in speaking and writing.
8. Self-managed, self-motivated and can work under pressure.
