Job Purpose:
Implements and follows up on continuous improvement process with Asian supply base. Implement company quality assurance and quality control requirements and initiative, create QC scheduling, manage QC execution, best QC practice training, provide expertise to support QA factory audit, attend pre-production meeting with cross functions conducts QC inspection (dedicate QC, during production QC and final randomly inspection). Assists supplier base in improving their quality systems. Understands US quality expectations. Product category (Plumbing, lighting, ceiling fans, bath accessories, furniture, hardware, outdoor living Dec & AC and floorings.)
Duties:
1. Reports solid line to General Manager of Asia office and dotted line to Director, Supply Chain
2. Manage all QC inspectors and Dept. Budget
3. Conduct factory qualification audits and consistently communicate findings
4. Setting up QA compliance objectives and ensuring targets are tracked, achieved and reported
5. Contributes to Supplier Scorecards and Compliance Tracking
6. Assists in calculating Total Cost of Quality
7. Responsible for communicating, in real-time with all appropriate staff in the U.S. and in Asia
8. Update our Q.A. documented process and certify all team members, including factories
9. Responsible for all CTPAT operations in Asia as directed by US office. Must include accurate and complete documentation.
10. Analyze procedure problems and implement improvement
11. Manage inspection schedule and reports for the entire team
12. Other duties may also be assigned and agreed as required
Qualifications:
? Degree preferably in Quality Engineering
? Familiar with international quality systems (ISO, Black Belt, Six Sigma, etc.)
? 5-10 years Quality management experience in home décor products.
? Demonstrated success in executing & launching successful products
? Organizational, Analytical, Mechanical & Problem Solving
? Prioritize & execute multiple projects with limited supervision to meet or exceed deadlines
? Superior communication skills –interpersonal, verbal, listening, written & presenting.
? Must demonstrate initiative, judgment, tact & diplomacy in dealing with internal & external customers as well the ability to handle confidential & proprietary information
? Ability to lead & manage, time management, team spirit and executive skills
? Work both independently & as part of a cross-functional team, including high multi-task capabilities
?
? Advanced computer skills in business based applications to include, but not limited to spreadsheet, word processing, database & software
