Job description
We are looking for a Globalization/Translation QA Lead who has high passion on testing profession. This job role will have good opportunity to collaborate with WW development teams and translation services centers to deliver high quality of globalized software products and solutions. Through projects, he/she will learn different culture to collaborate with remote teams effectively.
The job responsibility includes but not limited to:
1. Lead Globalization/Translation testing project's technical delivery
- Lead QA members to deliver assigned project
- Develop test plan
- Develop test cases
- Setup test environment on various OS platforms
- Execute Globalization verification test (GVT) test cases by following IBM GVT Guide
- Support worldwide linguistic testers to complete translation verification test (TVT)
- Track problems to closure for assigned tasks
- Identify concerns and potential problem areas to leader and/or manager
- Attend teleconference call to communicate with worldwide product development teams for timely issues resolution
2. Handle customer issues and perform the testing specific to language environment per request
3. Innovate to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of daily operation and testing processes
Skills Requirements:
- Familiar with software test methodology, process and tools
- Equipped with basic programming skills, Java programming is preferred.
- Familiar with Windows, Linux and Unix platforms
- Familiar with Relational database and Application Server, e.g. DB2/Oracle and WAS
- Quick learning in new systems, processes and tools
- Flexible, responsible and willing to work overtime and accommodate time differences around the world
- Good in logical thinking, analytical sand communication skills
- Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, creative and innovative
- Fluent English and Simplified Chinese in reading, writing, listening, and speaking
Notes: Hands on experiences of IBM DB2, WAS, Oracle, Java programming and testing tools is a plus.

Bachelor's Degree
At least 1 year experience in Database
At least 6 months experience in Application Server
At least 2 years experience in Windows 200x server
At least 1 year experience in Linux
At least 2 years experience in Function and/or Globalization testing experience
English: Fluent

Preferred
Master's Degree in Information Technology
At least 3 years experience in Database
At least 3 years experience in Application Server
At least 3 years experience in Linux
Certified in SCJP
