Position Title: Packaging Team Leader
BU: SSC/Logistics
Location: Ningbo

Position Summary:

Leading packaging team to reach the team operational goals, develop and plan BW China packaging strategies; work with BW China each location for best solution design and approval for all projects and programs while meeting customers' requirements and managing suppliers to follow our guidance; support in-house logistics and packaging process; Packaging material quality control system; Packaging supplier base development and optimization; Continuous packaging improvement for better balance of packaging performance and packaging cost; Returnable packaging boxes management process optimization; Contact window to sales and PM for each BU in terms of new program supporting and periodically back training to the team; Responsible for all management reports to the department head from packaging team etc.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

- Establish BorgWarner (China) logistics & Packaging strategy
- Advanced Logistics & packaging solution design and cost evaluation to sale and PM team
- Develop optimized packaging solution for finished part to meet customer requirement
- Maintain packaging BOM, work instruction, label information etc.
- Review and approve packaging solution for supplier components to reach BW requirement
- Support components purchasing team to evaluate quotes from supplier in terms of logistics cost and packaging cost, etc
- Work with inbound team closely to communicate with supplier to improve the packaging problem
- Work with outbound team closely and with customers to continuously improve packaging problem
- Build and refine packaging material quality control system, as per part number
- Develop and optimize packaging supplier base
- Tracking packaging quality issue, including packaging material, customer packaging complain, supplier packaging
- Continual packaging improvement for both finished parts and supplier components
- Supporting production team to complete in-house logistic solution
- Instruct to complete packaging work on-site to ensure quality for sample packing and urgent shipment
- Returnable packaging management in whole logistic process
- Good understand transportation packaging material performance, packaging standard and transportation model.
- Complete other task assigned by Manager
- Supporting team to reach team operational targets
- Packaging cost control and reporting monthly;
- Monthly reporting on KPI s of recycle packaging management
- Quarterly management review meeting reports for all the BU s
- Acting as communication window to sales and PM team for logistics and packaging solution review with cost input to support quotes;
- Quarterly training to the whole logistics Team for new programs from each BU,

Requirements / Qualifications:

- Bachelor or master degree on packaging engineering
- At least 5 years of packaging working experience in auto industry manufacturing company, 1 year above take managerial responsibility in packaging area.
- Detail and action oriented. Be creative, willing to think out of the box to get the results in time.
- Good team spirit and service/supporting working attitude.
- Proficient in MS office soft ware and good PPT and presentation skills
- Good command at Pro/E, Solid-works is a must
- Familiar with AutoCAD, Corel- draw, Photoshop, etc.
