Tooling Engineer


Job Duties:
1. Provides technical, consulting, training support of mechanical and tooling design to internal department, vendors, tool shop, etc.,
2. Responsible for plastic/metal stamping tooling design reviews advice for optimum part design for mold building and injection production, trouble shooting and optimize injection process for mass production, meeting quality needed.
3. Provide engineering support to manufacturing and participate in root cause analysis and problem solving process of design/tooling related issues.
4. Ensure effective (cost / quality) design of tooling.
5. Execute factory evaluation on project based.


Requirements:
1. Higher diploma or above in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent;
2. At least 5 years working experience in the tooling & manufacturing process design
3. Professional knowledge of production process design, jig & fixture design, key dimension control, mechanical properties of different materials, manufacturing of plastics & metals including tooling, molding, metal stamping, plating, painting, and assembly process;
4. Creative problem solving skills.
5. Well experienced in using Windows applications such as Excel, Word, and Power Point.
6. Familiar with CAD / CAE software, such as AutoCAD, Pro/E, Solidworks, Moldflow or Plastics.
7. Good command of spoken and written English
8. Work independently and willing to travel or based in China
