An exciting opportunity has been created for an experienced bilingual (English/Chinese) Section Head of Distribution & Planning for Greater China to join Cristal, a global leader in titanium dioxide manufacturing.
The position can either be based at our TiO2 Manufacturing plant in Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province OR out of our Shanghai office with frequent travel to Fuzhou.
The Section Head of Distribution & Planning for Greater China will be responsible for ensuring the adoption of, and alignment with, Cristal’s procurement and supply chain standards and processes at our Tikon plant and across China.
About the Role
The Section Head of Distribution & Planning for Greater China position is a newly created role, responsible for:
? Developing and implementing Asia specific Supply Chain strategies to support Global activities, projects and acquisitions.
? Serving as the China head of distribution activities: leading direct reports in logistics and warehousing as well as coordinating 3rd party service providers (3PLs).
? The China Supply Chain teams performance against annual goals and KPI’s.
? Carrying out stakeholder engagement activities and supporting the development of strategic category plans at both global and regional level.
? Supervising the issue of RFP / tenders and implementing China based contracts for the supply of goods, services, and equipment
? Conducting spend analysis and developing baskets of goods or services for the Tikon business in collaboration with the local Tikon team where required.
? Leading on capital project supply chain support for the Tikon plant (purchasing and distribution strategy/planning)
About You
In order to succeed in this role you will need to possess:
? A Degree in Supply Chain Management and Procurement
? Significant experience in Supply Chain related activities
? Experience in working independently and providing remote leadership
? Category Management experience; including development, execution and implementation of sourcing activities, capital, goods and services contracts
? International business or multinational company experience within Asia / China would be highly advantageous to your application, as would relevant industry experience in the chemicals, distribution or resources sector
? A willingness to travel frequently (if Shanghai based)
? In addition to the above criteria, it is essential that all applicants are fluent bilingually in written and oral English and Chinese
