Tasks / Area of Responsibility

A Design / Development

1 Planning, developing, designing and specifying packaging, packaging elements and means of transport,

taking into account customer and sales requirements, as well as quality-related, economic, ecological,

logistic and production-related aspects

2 Responsible for the packaging type and design in agreement with the customers and the organizational

units in Sales and Production

3 Integrating production-related possibilities in new developments and modifying packaging, packaging

elements and means of transport with internal and external manufacturers in agreement with Purchasing

4 Carrying out technical agreements with suppliers and releasing packaging

B Calculation / Cost definition

1 Carrying out preliminary calculation, determining the handling lead times, as well as the material and tool

costs for internal, customer services and series packaging

2 Calculating material costs from quotations and logistic general conditions (re-use factors, ownership

relationships etc.)

3 Comparing of costs for different types and versions of packaging

C Packaging planning

1 Planning packaging for purchased parts, taking defined standards into account

2 Preparing schedules and workflows (packaging plans) by specifying the production workflow, production

structure, workstations and time values, as well as entering the respective packaging-specific data

3 Setting up sales master data (9-digit) and master data for packing aids (8-digit)

4 Checking adherence to and monitoring prescribed deadlines for operating equipment and materials up to

start of series production and initiating initial purchasing

5 Planning and specifying quality guidelines/parameters for packaging and other measures aligned to quality

assurance

6 Checking packaging samples with regard to transport safety, quality and version as well as evaluating and

assessing the results, arranging for and/or carrying out changes if necessary

D Product updates

1 Ensuring and carrying out product updates from the start of series production through to device deletion with

regard to cost and quality development, changed basic conditions or new transferable knowledge

2 Defining possibilities for using up packaging stocks or effecting/preparing decisions about scrapping them

3 Involvement in projects aimed at reducing costs and/or improving workflows, introducing packaging marking

systems etc.

E Packaging logistics

1 Dynamic determination of packing aid requirements in the customer-supplier relationship

2 Coordinating packing aid accounts, as well as initiating measures where there are deviations in quantity, or

cases of damage etc.

Requirements

1. Bachelor degree or above, science major related.

2. Good English skill

3. Up to 3 years’ related work experience, packaging experience in automotive industry is preferred.

4. Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft office, general material science, value analysis, product design.

Jiaxing Hella Light Co,Ltd is a new program Hella Group launched in Jiaxing Economic&Technological Development Zone, which mainly provides the headlights, taillights, frog lights and other kinds of automotive lights to the medium and high level automotive manufacturers like Shanghai Volkswagen and Shang GM. The company was founded in Jul 2012,with registration capital RMB200 million. And the new factory is under construction and the total area is 56 thousand square kilometers. It’s estimated to put into production in Aug 2013 and the annual output could be more than 2200million. Then it will be the biggest Hella factory in China.
