JOB SUMMARY
To oversee all fabric development activities in China, assure all new fashions and fabrics look great, are delivered on schedule, and meet the specifications and quality requirements of DJGUSA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Take lead of fabric development process to ensure all fabric suppliers are following the DJG fabric development SOP and the quality standards.

2. Check and communicate fabric information with DJGUSA fashion teams and DJG fabric suppliers to ensure all information is accurate prior to releasing for production.

3. Review and approve fabric samples (lab dip, strike-offs, engineering prints, sample yardage) by suppliers before submission for DJGUSA fashion teams' final approval.

4. Monitor the development schedule to ensure each developmental milestone is achieved on time.

5. Responsible for recruitment and training of new staff.

6. Provide solutions or suggestions for solving technical problems or quality improvements.

7. Perform onsite approval/inspection for factory production/quality assurance.

8. Support new fabric development sourcing activities in China and qualify new fabric suppliers.

JOB REQUIREMENT
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
1. University Degree of Textile, Fashion or related subject.
2. 5 years working experience in textile, garment or related industry/field.
3. Solid experience in woven/knit/print/dye fabric development and fabric sourcing.
4. At least 1-2 years supervisory experience managing small group of people.
5. Experience in development of projects with Chinese mills and Western customers.
SKILLS:
1. Good command of both written and spoken English is a must. Mandarin Chinese a plus.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)
