Assistant Office Manager
  
The role is to support the General Manager in overseeing and managing the Sourcing Office in Ningbo. This will be done by taking on some of their operational and administrative responsibilities, therefore freeing up their time to execute strategy, develop and source new products/categories, develop supplier relationships, and deliver profitable growth. The Assistant Office Manager will be required to drive specific projects on their own, managing and organising the work though current teams in the office. The role is about undertaking some of the General Managers current day to day tasks to create time for the General Manager to focus on other key areas of the business. This role is strategically important and carries with it a high level of senior responsibility and authority.
  
 Operational Responsibilities
?Assist the Purchasing Manager in organising, planning and implementing strategy.
?Planning, organising and managing projects across all sub-teams in the office.
?Collate and present detailed reports measuring the success and weakness of team performance, supplier performance, department costs and budgets.
?Communicate and assist in the management of all sub-teams, investigating issues and reporting back to the General Manager with solutions.
?Communicate with the Hong Kong sales team regarding issues and concerns that can’t be handled by subordinates.
?Assist in the training and development of office and staff and vendors.
?Assist in developing new supplier relationships - factory/showroom visits attending with or without the General Manager.
?Work closely with QC to help develop a fit for purpose supply base.
?Prepare product sales presentations suitable for Hong Kong/customers.
?Manage and monitor team workload/live projects,
?Develop team project timelines working with team leaders to ensure on time execution, reporting weekly to the General Manager.
?HR management will be required as part of this role (previous experience not required)
 
Administrative Responsibilities
?Ensure timely reminder of the General Manager’s schedules and objectives.
?Prepare correspondence on your manager's behalf.
?Delegate work in the manager’s absence.
?Attend meetings on your manager's behalf.
                                    
 Requirements
?Proven experience as an assistant manager or a similar position.
?Familiar with sourcing/purchasing office environment
?Knowledge of data analysis, and good math’s and analytical skills.
?Proficient in MS Office, Excel and Powerpoint.
?Good leadership, organisational and reporting abilities.
?Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
?Strong English skills both verbal and written
