General Description:
Coordinate with internal and customer Product Engineers; Work closely with factory to produce superior quality, competitive price and product design in the shortest time possible. Monitor the product quality and processes closely to ensure quality of the product specs are within customer’s standard.

Job Duties:
- Evaluate customer’s design and study with the factory to determine the feasibility of the design and tooling.
- Guide factory to produce the most time-efficient tooling and product development processes including constantly improving the existed tooling/product manufacturing processes.
- Oversee the development of Tooling, production samples, and shipping samples are all completed in a timely manner. Required to ensure first shipment of new or amended products is completed without error before transferring the responsibilities to merchandisers (MD).
- Responsible for the quality and maintenance of the Tooling invested by the company. Assist in establishing an agreement among the company, customer, and the factory after analyzing costs.
- Assist in sourcing for suitable Suppliers according to the standards of Chef Pro. Factory summary and reporting is required.
- Analyze factory quotes accurately and timely to avoid delays. Guide the factory at anytime to improve the product quality, cost analysis and seek ways to lower their quotes.
- Organize records of all progress during product development and submit reports to the manager; keep organized files for these reports.
- Responsible for all email communications with factory and customer concerning product design and quality.
- Assist QC trainings for quality standard of a product and to translate the Quality Assurance Process (QAP) to Chinese for the factory; Responsible to make sure all inspectors understand the QAP clearly.
- Must provide accurate feedback and/or solution to QC’s inquiry relating to quality issue within 24 hours from inquiry.
- Review the internal inspection reports for quality issues pertaining to design. If so, provide resolution and inform MD of the issue for MD to schedule/cancel Customer inspection.
- Per final inspection report, determine whether the shipment is okay to ship out or needs to be reworked.
- Provide Production Approval Sample for factory and make sure the quality from mass production is per customer QAP.

Requirements:
- BS Mechanical Engineer or equivalent degree
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience with both plastic/metal toolings and new product development.
- Experience in Housewares/Kitchen Tools/Cutlery/Scissors is preferred.
- Must be fluent in spoken/written English (CET-4 minimum, CET-6 preferred)
- Willing to travel within China.
- Must know how to work independently, contribute within a team, and most importantly know when to ask questions.
- Knowledge of Pro/E and Solidworks required. 举报 分享
