POSITION SUMMARY
The position requires application responsibility of automotive gasoline turbochargers including customer interface to gather technical requirements, select the right product from BW product line for each application, coordinate internal activities of matching, prototyping, validation and release, etc, and solving the engineering issues during the product application development stage.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Learn and master the knowledge of turbocharger products from BorgWarner global tech centers in the USA and Germany through training and regular meetings.
Interface with customers in China for applications of BW turbocharger products.
Create DVP&R and coordinate the support from other functional areas (validation and release, quality, manufacturing) to validate the products.
Provide a smooth interchange of ideas and information between managers, engineers, co-workers, and customers.
Provide technical support to engineering issues from both suppliers and customers.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in turbocharging, internal combustion engine, thermodynamics or mechanical engineering.
Min. 3 years working experience, direct automotive turbocharger or internal combustion engine development experience is desired.
Functional Skills: Turbocharging or internal combustion engine development.
Must have good organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Professional verbal and written English & Chinese communication skills essential.
Proficient with Microsoft office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
