POSITION SUMMARY
? To perform the manufacturing engineering function for special projects, production lines, cost reduction, and continuous improvement thru analytical approach. Develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications, safety requirements and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to processes, methods and controls and product design. Ensure safe working practices are designed into all processes. Interacts with all levels of the organization as a team to produce and be accountable for desired results.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
? Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved efficiency.
? Leads all changes building in long term safe working practices.
? Troubleshoots minor controls issues on equipment
? Executes small controls projects as part of continuous improvement on equipment
? Develops, implements and documents effective cost reductions on time.
? Specifies and executes machine purchases including verification of machine quality, performance and effect on process.
? Interacts effectively with all levels of the organization, frequently participating on or leading cross functional teams.
? Works as part of cross functional group for product design reviews, new program launches, cost improvement activities
? Works within design procedures of ISO and Quality Systems
? Participates in customer project reviews
? Maintains project status reports for scheduling
? Assures adherence to standard manufacturing practices
? Understands and adheres to current quality and control policies.
? Understands and adheres to current health, safety, and environmental policies.
? Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
? This position requires a BS degree in an Engineering discipline. A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
? The position requires at least 3 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a medium to large scale manufacturing. Experience in automotive industry is preferred.
? Minimum 1 year working knowledge of popular PLC programming (Fanuc, Siemens or Allen Bradley, etc.) is required
? Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control tools (Minitab etc) is required
? Knowledge of turbochargers is a plus. Knowledge of SAP system is a plus.
? Proficiency with Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook) is required.
? Minimum 1 year of experience managing engineering projects within deadlines.
? Minimum 1 year of experience working with cost estimation processes, lean manufacturing concepts, and implementation processes.
? Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
? Language, Fluent English, German is a plus.
