Key Tasks
1.Existing & New Process Development
- Participate as an active member of the design review process with the aim of ensuring design for -manufacture concepts are adhered to.
- Participate in the review of and establishment of the PFMEA
- Participate in the review of the DFMEA and design for assembly process
- Establishment and development of concept process, including, estimated standard times, costs (process FMEA, including lessons learnt PDM)
- Draft of timing plans for new process introduction including equipment specification, cost analysis and raising of a Capex
- Co-ordinate the development and review of equipment specification ensuring compliance to company policies
- Review of quotes and select final equipment supplier in conjunction with Facilities
- Develop layout and review with cross-function team
- Co-ordinate trials (run @ rate) and support prototype builds, feedback on improvements/action required
- Validate process against PPAP requirements
- Development of timing plans to ensure APQP milestones are met
- Ensure process documentation is completed and training provided to operators
- Review of process and conduct root cause analysis in conjunction with production teams and initiate corrective actions which result in elimination/reduction scrap, hazards, Right First Time (RFT), downtime
- Review and implementation of actions as a result of RPN’s identified.
- Ensure SOP’s, operational descriptions are in place for all current and new equipment and processes
- Active input into the engineering process change to ensure viability
- Assess impact of engineering changes to current process

2. Optimisation & Quality Systems
- Optimise line balance to work content in line with sales
- Implement process standardisation that supports best in class lean manufacturing systems
- Identify and reduce operational risks by process control initiatives (eg poke-yoke)
- Identify cost reduction opportunities for each function in accordance with the Cost Reduction Improvement Plan

3.OHS&E
- Advocate behaviour that encourages all employees to operate in safe work environment.
- Support the development and implementation of operational work systems that allow people to keep safe and care for the environment.
- Ensure manufacturers design risk assessment, engineering design risk assessment and plant evaluation are completed in accordance with legal & company standards
- Ensure the implemented and safe ergonomic principles are implemented
- Actively participate in the formal risk assessment process and investigation of all incident/hazard raised.
- Ensure all safety actions/hazard are closed out on time and effectively communicated across the team.
- Contribute towards safety and environmental standards by ensuring certification of ISO14001.
- Participate in the effective management of the Safety Management Register and ensure open safety items are addressed, communicated and close in a timely manner.

4. Customer & Supplier Support
- Provide support to the customer and supplier in the identification of problems/issues ensuring compliance to 8D process
- Participate in Customer/Supplier product/process improvement processes

Qualifications
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering (Mechanical/Manufacturing) or related discipline
- Industrial engineering major would be better

Experience
- Preferable – 2D AutoCAD experience
- Understanding of high volume manufacturing
- Proven experience in building relationships with cross functional teams
- Project Management experience on small to medium projects
- Has 2 programs from advanced to SOP 1 year after experience at least
- 3 years lean or IE experiences would be better
- For Welding Manuf. Engineer shall have 2 years welding experience

Skills & Knowledge
- Experience in computerised knowledge management systems (preferable PDM)
- Previous experience in Word/Excel/Project – intermediate
- Preferable - mechanical design-manufacture/electronic related major 举报 分享
