An exciting opportunity has been created for an experienced bilingual (English/Chinese) Marketing Manager - China to join Cristal, a global leader in titanium dioxide manufacturing.
The position will be based out of our Shanghai office, reporting directly to the Global Marketing Head.
The Marketing Manager – China will be ultimately responsible developing the regional marketing plan to define direction for the overall TiO2 business in the China Region, as well as contributing to the development of the global marketing plan.
The role will also be accountable for the provision of marketing support to global marketing and regional sales.
About the Role
The Marketing Manager - China position is a newly created role, responsible for
Key roles and responsibilities include:
? Developing and implementing the China Region marketing plan and providing input to the Global marketing plan to provide the best returns over the market cycle.
? Providing input into the annual Long-Range Plan for volume, product, and market targets for the China region.
? Visiting Global, Multinational, and Domestic customers to assist the Sales team and gather market intelligence
? Coordinating and/or conducting market research to define customer and segment requirements.
? Representing the Company in industry forums and networking events
? Review and monitor profitability of Market Segment, Product, and Customer portfolio and develop actions items together with Sales to improve profitability on an on-going basis.
? Assess and monitor Cristal’s product and services offering to ensure it remains competitive in the Chinese marketplace. If appropriate, propose market options including new products and services and assess their financial impact.
About You
In order to succeed in this role you will need to possess:
? A Degree in Marketing, Business or other relevant technical discipline
? 8+ years of commercial business-to-business experience required
? International business or multinational company experience within Asia would be highly advantageous to your application as would relevant industry experience, either with a producer or raw material supplier
? A willingness to travel on a frequent basis for business purposes
? In addition to the above criteria, it is essential that all applicants are fluent bilingually in written and oral English and Chinese
