MAIN REPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

The Medical Affairs Effectiveness & Compliance Mgr is responsible for providing strategic planning, operational management and overall coordination of Medical business activities to enable effectiveness/excellence and compliance across 2 Medical Affairs business lines. This person operates as a senior level operations liaison and thought partner on a variety of strategic initiatives, on-going internal deliverables and special projects - working with 2 MA team, Global Medical Affairs Team, HR, finance, legal, Compliance Team, Medical Quality & Compliance Team and other members of the Leadership Team as well as BUs. Proactively identify the opportunities, take effective and innovative actions on Medical programs/projects to promote Medical Affairs’ value and to increase the medical impact.

1. The MA E&C Manager ensures high medical compliance standards in promotional materials and commercial activities for all Pfizer in-line products from all BUs.

1.1. Lead the training for medical affairs team to build their knowledge of acting as the sole approver for promotional materials etc. to ensure higher medical compliance level for the whole company. Provide company policy training such as REG 08 etc. to related Marketing and sales team to ensure compliance in timely and effective manner.

1.2. Conduct Medical Affairs internal control and regular quality check to ensure their implementation meeting audit requirement and ensure MA related compliance. Act as a key member in the MA related policy development, prepare audit and follow up the CAPA etc in collaboration with MQ&C, Legal, Compliance and Finance.

1.3. This person leads to standardize system and operational procedures of medical affairs related functions such as promotional materials review, DAP System Management, KOL management etc. in order to improve organizational efficiency and compliance.

2. This person operates as a senior level operations liaison and thought partner on a variety of strategic initiatives, on-going internal deliverables and special projects - working with Medical Leadership Team in China and global, BU, finance, legal to ensure the overall effectiveness and excellence within the team.

2.1 Overall manage Medical Affairs Ops budgets/resources/projects and contribute to analysis in order to leverage the medical resources wisely and ensure Medical operational effectiveness therefore maximize value of the overall business.

2.2 Develop and implement annual MA team training plan to continuously enhance Medical talents’ competitive capabilities and therefore maximize medical talents’ value to business.

2.3 Develop the standard working model and performance management system for Medical Affairs team.

2.4 Develop the standard working model and performance management system for MSL.

2.5 Initiate, lead & organize various and innovative departmental activities, therefore to strengthen cross functional teams’ collaboration and leverage medical resources, maximize medical overall performance and benefit the businesses.

2.6 Collect, summarize, analyze and initiate insights of each Medical Affairs team’s accomplishment and achievement to strengthen Medical Branding, promote Medical Affairs team’s value and increase Medical Awareness.

2.7 Act as a key contact person on behalf of Medical Deptment, improve cross-function collaboration by proactively identifying the opportunity for win-win collaboration/cooperation. Clearly define the principles, task allocation and process, strengthen the advantages and improve the effectiveness.

Education

• At least master degree in clinical medicine or healthcare, pharmaceutical.

Experience

• At least 5 years medical marketing support experience in pharmaceutical industry, Medical Affairs experience is preferred;

• At least 2 years in positions requiring business planning and analysis, process improvement, project management, and strategic thinking and planning;

• Deep understanding of Medical functions operation and Medical business model.

• Research Experience preferred: familiar with the whole process of the clinical trial
