Job Description

We are seeking a high potential Translator & Assistant for our foreign Chief Designer based at our head office in Guangzhou. The ideal candidate will be eager to work directly with the Chief Designer and advance future careers in the fashion industry.

What You’ll Do

Translation & Interpreting

- Translate documents, emails and any other relevant materials between English and Chinese to ensure full understanding of all parties involved.

- Help the Chief Designer arrange/attend meetings as the interpreter during sessions, take minutes for meetings, convert to action plans, follow up relevant executions, and keep the Chief Designer posted as a project coordinator.

Administrative Support

- Assist the Chief Designer in day-to-day duties in all possible respects as a liaison with all relevant departments and personnel from the Design Centre by word of mouth and email.

- Support the Chief Designer in ad-hoc tasks or needs.

 

What You’ll Need

- Bachelor’s Degree in English/Fashion Design/Fashion Merchandising.

- TEM8 or IELTS 7.0

- Solid translation & interpreting skills in both English and Chinese.

- Good understanding of terminology related to the design and marketing of garments.

- Good communication skills and logical thinking.

- Detail-oriented and well-organised.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign.
