JOB DESCRIPTION:

IDC is looking for an experienced Firmware Engineer to join our growing team, to be part of a team responsible for a challenging and innovative design and emulation project

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Design and develop C/C++ for embedded products.

2.Lead design and architecture decisions by acting as a subject matter expert for targeted technologies.

3.Manage assigned tasks and schedules.

4.Follow engineering standards and procedures for firmware development.

5.Work with a team of engineers to bring new products to market.

6.Able to reproduce, isolate and troubleshoot problems.

7.Work and support others in the organization, as needed.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

1.Strong software engineering background (MSc in Software Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent through experience)

2.>6 years experience in C/C++ programming languages, >4 years RTOS, e.g. Linux or ucLinux development experience,.

3.Experience with embedded processors such as ARM / NIOS, knowledge of in FPGA, and good understanding of electronics

4.Experience with SDIO, UDP/TCP/IP, USB3.0 or PCIe I2C, SPI, UART communication protocol, knowledge of GPIO, ADC/DAC control is plus

5.Good hardware debugging capability using industry standard test equipment’s like Protocol Generator/Analyzer

6.Fluent verbal and written English

7.A self-starter and team player

8.Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
