Job Description Summary
1. Undertake process support on APQP/NPD projects.
2. Interactive with product design engineer on process development to ensure in quality and economical target.
3. Lead new process development, early prototype of new/high risk process.
4. Understand and flow down product characteristics into process design.
5. Closely work with manufacturing team of input collection and ensure DFM.
6. Review of new manufacturing equipment design compliance to process/production requirement.
7. Debug and qualify (to report) new production equipment/tooling.
8. System documentation such as PFMEA, Process Flow, CP/LCP, and SOP…etc, PPAP support.
9. Facilitate the successful launch of new sensor products.
10. Improvement activities on yield/quality/ cycle time/lean…etc
Job Requirements
1. Bachelor or Master ME/EE degree required.
2. Strong planning and organization skills
3. Self-directed and driven for success
4. Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally at all levels
5. Engineering aptitude to participate in design reviews and assist during debug & qualification
6. Ability to identifying & correct problems by utilization of root cause problem solving skills and experimental methods such as DOE
7. Experience with manufacturing processes such as SMT, MEMS, dispensing, resistance welding, soldering, electrical testing, etc. is desired but not mandatory
8. Experience with high volume, high quality manufacturing is preferred vs. batch process or very low volume manufacturing environments
9. Experience with automotive OEM’s and/or Tier 1 suppliers is also a plus
10. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to assist the global team and work with our suppliers as needed is a must.(Over 30% travel time)
