A successful international Freeze-dry food Company based in Qingdao and Huangdao with sister companies in the UK, USA and France. Due to continued expansion and progress within the company we are now seeking a high quality experienced person as following, competitive compensation package shall be provided to the successful candidate:
R&D Technologist
食品研发工程师（工作地点：黄岛保税区）
The Position:
The R&D Technologist will responsible for new product development overseeing and managing all NPD projects activities in different development stage to drive the projects in time and effective manner.
Specifically the R&D Technologist will be responsible for:
· Focus on market trends, provide new products concept and ideas.
· Idea screening and issue project brief.
· Feasibility study and project planning
· Recipe, processing, packaging design, prototype development and sample submission
· R/M specification, nutritiona info and FG specification, legislation
· Preliminary financial analysis and cost calculation-MOB
· Capex request, equipment buying and installation
· Line trials and line evaluation
· Factory trials, shelf life study, stacking and shipping test
· Half day run, specification and HACCP
· Production documentation
· Supporting customer for consumer test
· Supporting sales for marketing, distribution and sales plan
· Commercial run and launch
· Post launch review and audit
To be based in Huangdao FTZ.
Requirement:
Languages Required : English and Chinese
Age : 30+
Qualifications : Bachelor or Masters degree in Food Science
Experience :
- At least 10+ year’s relevant experience in multi-national or major local food industry working as R&D technologist. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in new product development and innovation.
- Experience should have been gained in a foreign invested enterprise operating in the PRC. Experience will have included manufacturing and quality control.
Personal Attributes :
- The ideal candidate will possess thorough knowledge and understanding of NPD procedures. The successful candidate will be familiar with NPD activities in different development satges. In addition candidates will have a good manufacturing and quality control background with knowledge of legislation, GMPs, HACCP, food safety and sanitation standards associated with food processing.
- Good communication skills in English and Mandarin are essential. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build up credibility and support within an existing team are essential.
- Proven track record in team work spirit will be essential. While being able to work in a strong relationship intensive environment, the candidate will be detail and results driven, with focus on new business.
- A high level of drive and self-motivation are expected and high level of integrity is critical.
- The candidate will need to focus on the market trends, willing to
work closely with local sales team to achieve the yearly targets
gaining new business.
