1.Tasks Summary & Responsibilities
1）Responsible for cable assembly projects development.
2）Work closely with customer/sales/PM in getting the right and clear VOC (voice of customer), make engineering evaluation/proposal to the VOC Create innovative techniques and mechanical solutions.
3）Maintain project data into PLMcentral.
4）Follow up with TE LeanPD process (new development process), conduct the mandatory and optional engineering practices (PRD, QFD, DFMEA, etc.).
5）Leading design review meeting. Engineering documents management and retention.
6）Evaluate and identify the connector and cable suppliers to meet project cost, quality, volume and timing requiremets cooperating with cross-functional team.
7）Provide technical specifications for outsourcing parts.
8）Provide technical support for customer.
9）Domestic / oversea business travel if needed.
10）Other tasks assigned by manager.
2. Requirements
1）B.S. degree or above majored in mechanical engineering
2）At least 5 years working experience in cable assembly especially in consumer industries technology field.
3）Experience in connector and raw cable is preferred.
4）Experience of engineering project management.
5）Good hands-on working experience.
3.Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
1）Knowing well of USB/HDMI/Display Port etc. industrial standard, abundant experience on USB/HDMI/Display port etc. cable assembly development.
2）Knowledge on connector and raw cable.
3）Knowledge on high speed SI (Signal Integrity).
4）Basic knowledge in cable assembly process, for example: crimping, molding, soldering etc.
5）Proficient to use Pro/E (Creo) and AutoCAD software with solid working experience, FEA simulation skill (Ansys, Mold flow) will be a plus.
6）Knowledge in Basic Quality techniques.
7）Be able to read and write in English. Oral English is preferred.
8）Good presentation skills.
