SPECIFC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Establishment of supplier rating system for supplier base in China and maintain/improve the supplier base to strive to the PPM and OTD targets.
2. Direct involved and manage all suppliers on development/improvement.
3. Research and understand desired Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing Process requirements on each of the sourcing programs.
4. Evaluate and Recommend potential supplier(s) and its tiers in regards with their
a) Manufacturing process capability review
b) Engineering capability review
c) Quality Management review
d) Quality systems compliance
5. Lead Supplier Development activities on specific sourcing programs such as
a) Design reviews (if necessary)
b) PFMEA
c) Process flow chart
d) Control Plan
e) Process capability studies (Cpk)
f) Engineering samples (OTS)
g) Pre-production or run at rate trials
h) Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
6. Lead and be fully accountable for Supplier Quality Assurance activities such as
a) On site production inspection (if necessary)
b) Corrective action request and root cause analysis (8D report)
c) Periodic Supplier audit, scorecard and continuous improvement plan
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 6 years work experiences in supplier quality management (SQE or SDE), of which 2 years in automotive or from similar product industry (Iron die casting, forging, sheet metal, high end machining components, understanding of wire magnetic will be a plus).
3. Knowledge of Quality systems such as ISO9001, TS16949, ISO14001 and PPAP process.
4. Experience on electric machinery (vibrator) product will be a plus.
5. Lean & Six Sigma project experiences are preferred.
6. Fluency in English is essential.
