Job Background

Tangoe’s rTEM division provides the implementation, training, expertise, and support of Tangoe’s flagship Real Time Expense Management software. Tangoe’s installed customer base includes Fortune 500 organizations and medium-to-large enterprise businesses.

The rTEM Product Engineer works directly with the Mobile Device Management Engineering team and closely with the Tangoe Customer Base. The roles that this position will play are absolutely critical to the success of Tangoe’s rTEM product – the candidate will be primarily responsible for deploying and supporting the rTEM product. You will also have the opportunity to train the customer’s IT professionals on how to derive the maximum business benefit via using Tangoe’s rTEM software.

This is a hands-on and highly visible position with our large and diverse customer base. You will be challenged daily with initiatives and problems of varying degrees of difficulty and complexity while working remotely with other Tangoe Mobile Teams. You will be exposed to new software, new mobile devices, new technology, and new customer infrastructure on a daily basis. This is a highly technical position with a broad range of technical skills. You will also have the opportunity play several different roles while working with the Tangoe Implementation team.

Job Responsibilities

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all aspects of Tangoe’s rTEM Product deployment and operation
• Consult with customer to determine how rTEM can be best be deployed to meet their specific requirements.
• Deploy and configure rTEM to meet customer’s business and technical requirements
• Work with customers’ mobile resources to fully integrate rTEM as part of the customers’ mobile strategy.
• Work with the customer’s IT staff and users to fully deploy rTEM on-device clients to the whole of their user base
• Provide training and customize / develop training materials for customer’s IT staff, helpdesk, and users
• Create & update customer-specific technical documentation, user communication, and diagrams as needed
• Provide interactive product demonstrations and workshop sessions for customer staff
• Resolve rTEM product problems as escalated by customer’s IT and engineering teams
• May require up to 10% travel

Work will be performed at the Waltham, MA or San Diego, CA office.

Job Requirements

This position requires a strong technical gamut of experience with both Software and Mobile Device experience.

Experience

· Strong Software System Administration – Previous Configuration and installation experience.

• Implementation Experience – Medium to Large scale end user rollouts.

· Software Training – Training software administrators, end-users, and project stakeholders.

· 2 to 5 Years Support Experience – Customer facing software support experience.

· Strong Customer Skills – Excellent written and communication skills.

· Network Communication – Basic network understanding (ports, communication, diagrams)

Mobility Experience

· iOS devices – familiarity with managing and using iPhone or iPod devices

· BlackBerry devices / BES server (desired) – familiar with using and administering BES and BlackBerry devices

· Other mobile device experience – using / troubleshooting Android, or Windows Mobile is highly desired
