Job Description:

This position will be responsible for working on new product development projects, cost out projects, product quality improvements in a company who makes evaporative cooling equipments for industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities. The duties of this position will include:

1. Design the structure with cold formed steel members for the evaporative cooling equipments and performing FEA analysis and analytical calculation to verify the structural design;

2. Design new mechanical drive system or improve the existing mechanical drive design in our equipments to lower the cost and to improve the reliability;

3. Perform production test of the new products to standardize the blade pitch, rotational speed, and shaft power of axial flow fans;

4. Perform vibration test and dynamic balance of axial flow fans;

5. Design reliable connecting/attaching methods for PVC flange or steel flange overhanging the FRP parts;

6. Develop new technology for evaporative cooling and design approaches to realize it;

7. Perform product performance test.

Job Requirements:

1. A Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical Engineering / civil Engineering or related major is required;

2. 5+ years mechanical products/HVAC products design experience is required;

3. Good English communication skill is required;

4. Cold formed steel part design experience is required;

5. Structure Analysis experience (Stress and strength, LRFD and ASD) is required;

6. Knowledge with China GB for mechanical drive components (bearings, sheave/pulley, belts, gears, belt drive and gear drive), and GB for flanges is required;

7. Axial flow and centrifugal flow fan knowledge is required;

8. Sound and vibration experience is required;

9. Good understanding of the new product development procedure is required;

10. Self-motivated with innovation and continuous improvement is required;

11. Having capability of identifying root cause of product operating issues is required;

12. Having good experience with product quality control is preferred;

13. In field problem solving skill/experience is preferred;

14. Experience with DFMEA is preferred;

15. Evaporative cooling products experience is a plus;

16. Fluid dynamics / aerodynamics knowledge or working experience is a plus.
