• Overtake responsibility at Kick-off (if possible with very first product design concepts within Acquisition) to gate 5
• Delivery and fulfillment of all ME deliverables within the Program Management
• Conduct production trials (IPT, MPT, EMPT)
• Preparation of technical/process related presentations to the customer (SE process)
• Manage engineering changes – supported by local PMOs
• Application of process standards
• Demand sign-off from responsible departments for SOR and shop floor process layout
• Involve and track experts from ME – CoCs (Process & Tooling) ) – especially in terms of new technologies
• Ensure Simultaneous Engineering & Design for Manufacturing (PPD) – especially close link to PE & SCM

Authorities:

• Check and release of all production drawings after Simultaneous agreement in the program team
• Prepare production layouts
• Release tooling and equipment for series production
• Prepare sign-off procedure for capex approval
• Sign-off for pre-acceptance of tooling and equipment
• Leadership role and delegation of tasks to extended team members ME

• Budget Planning
• Responsible to keep the spent for tooling and equipment within the program budget
• Responsible to ensure appropriate process methods for prototype and series production
