1、要妥善保管好库存物资，做好仓库物资的盘点及报表工作，做到帐物相符。
2、加强仓库物资账目管理，做到进、出、存相符。严格管理权限发放材料，进出仓库材料，应日清、月结、年报。
3、应坚持物资管理原则，凡采购的材料在质量、规格、单价或数量等方面不符合要求，仓库保管员有权拒绝入库，并及时向有关领导汇报。
4、经常检查仓库存货量，常用物资要保证有货备有，如备用不足，催促相关部门申请采购。
5、定期对仓库进行安全检查，发现问题及时报告。并做好防火、防潮、防盗的落实工作。
做好领导安排的其他工作。
