职位描述
Job Duties:
*New Product Development
- Collaborate with the US Development team to know design concept, consumer, business plan, and fit direction on responsible product categories and pass this information off to the Merchandisers as needed.
- Review all specification packages through development phase including: Technical sketches, BOM, Block specs and protos, size spec, grading, construction details for respective category or collection. Make recommendations for revision or changes when applicable.
- Coordinate the raw material and monitor the proto type process through development to ensure on time delivery of fabric and final garments to US Development team.
- Ensure sales samples for assigned product categories are on time, of good quality, and are accurate.
- Assist the US Development team to collaborate, maintain and communicate all raw materials and trim specification packages including technical sketches and construction details.
- Supervise the Merchandisers on, and have the ultimate responsibility for on-time proto yardages delivery, trim tracking and forecast in Softgoods.
- Direct Merchandisers for the review, validation and approval of color standards for trims and accessory materials in the responsible categories.
*Research and Development
- Initiate and support the development of new and innovative product concepts in features, raw materials and/or garments.
- Responsible for assisting in the clarity of communication and development of tech packs as needed to successfully deliver new concepts.
- Responsible for ensuring R&D resources within Threadworks are being fully utilized for R&D and costing projects.
*Timeline Execution and Team Collaboration
- Support the development calendar and clearly communicate all critical dates to all cross functional partners, including supply chain.
- Establish strong cross functional working relationships with all areas of supply chain in order to deliver all projects as per schedule to ensure an on time buy ready performance.
- Responsible for Buy Ready monitoring. Ensure all cross functional partners understand production time line and Buy Ready input required.
*Production
- Manage the Kunshan Merchandisers to plan placement for all labels including approving label requirements on all main, care and content labels are accurately indicated to appropriate merchandise
- Coordinate the timely delivery of pre-production samples to Burton Hong Kong office for review, with PP approval requirement as needed in the future.
- Review production spec against pre-production garment and sales sample comments. Create revision comments for factory to follow through production with US Development team approval and QA team input.
- Assist in monitoring and providing solutions for production from raw material and trim delivery, quality issues both raw material and finished goods, and final finished goods delivery.
Job Requirements:
- At least 7 year’s experiences relevant factory or garment merchandising experiences, board Sport Industry preferred
- Major in textile with university graduate degree background is preferable.
- Strong PC computer skills including MS Office, Outlook and Adobe required
- Good written or spoken English and Mandarin required
- 30% of the time travelling required
- Foresight for the overall business situation preferred
- Good teamwork spirit, good communication, coordination skills and strong demonstrated project management skills
- Locate in Kunshan (昆山市) , work in Kunshan office and ACDC Development Center nearby office at Sportfield.
