Maybank GO Ahead Challenge is part of our aspiration to recognize and develop talents to ensure our sustainability and growth. We are inviting any bilingual (Chinese & English) talents as final year students or graduates with <2-year working experience.

This challenge is also in connection to Global Maybank Apprentice Programme (Mgt Trainee Programme).

In 2013, the participating countries are Malaysia, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom, and Vietnam. We promise it will be an exciting one and it will be a business case competition that has never been seen before.

Over USD70,000 is up for grabs for the 3 winning teams that come out tops in the grand finale. Participants will go through 2 national level challenges and top 48 participants will be selected as finalists for the Grand Finale, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Finalists also stand a chance to get fast pass to join Global Maybank Apprentice Programme (GMAP)-our Management Trainee Programme.

The competition structure is as follows:

Preliminary Rounds:
Students have to individually:
? Submit their application form along with a Youtube video (1-2 minutes) introducing themselves and their understanding of global banking.
? Complete the online assessment (link will be sent to applicants via e-mail).

National Levels:
Short-listed candidates will be invited to go for the second round-"Innovative Challenge" and "Business Case Analysis & Presentation".

Grand Finale:
Top 48 candidates will be selected as finalists to compete in the final challenge and ultimate challenge [‘Amazing Race’] for 4 days in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

What are the prizes?
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams of the Maybank GO Ahead. Challenge.
1st Prize – USD30,000
2nd Prize – USD20,000
3rd Prize – USD10,000

Additionally, finalists may be awarded fast pass to join our Global Maybank Apprentice Programme (GMAP). The GMAP is an exclusive 2-year programme where employees are given a holistic learning experience with a customized on-the-job rotations and international assignment to allow the Apprentices to be immersed in Maybank’s global network operations. The programme is also aimed to accelerate these selected employees into a management role upon their graduation from the programme.

Application Criteria
? Students who are pursuing their penultimate or final year of their tertiary education in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, Philippines, United Kingdom, Thailand, Vietnam, China and Hong Kong OR fresh university graduates (<2 year of working experience)
? Have strong academic credentials from any discipline (CGPA of 3.0 over 4.0 and above or its equivalent.)
? Possess good communication skills
? Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills
? Display strong leadership qualities and are active in extracurricular activities
