职位描述：
Provides cost estimated/comparison costs for the value of goods that are provided by the supply chain. Position will collect and analyze data and information in order to estimate costs associated with manufacturing a product. Works proactively towards cost target objectives in collaboration with others. Will be responsible for all stages of product costing including any revisions during prototyping.
Major Duties:
Responsible for input of Bills of Materials, able to break down the products from drawing to BOM for cost estimation and analysis.
Responsible for direction of time studies to effectively determine the time needed to produce the product.
Establish costs for all material usage and WIP scrap
Establish cost estimates of production processes and tooling costs and review alternatives, or put forward recommendations for improvement.
Source new material/components from domestic and global markets
To make comparison on the prices by quick checking from different channels, such as Alibaba, mfg, dragon sourcing and etc.
Make the cost analysis on the prices and control the prices to the reasonable level and approve the best solutions
To find back up vendors for price comparison and potential use
Estimate manufacturing processing time for single parts according to drawings
Develop and maintain time estimation database
Skills:
Cost analysis ability is a compulsory. Can make the break down details on the material and make the analysis to check out if the prices are reasonable.
Knowledge of the raw materials cost movement
Technical detail-oriented
Good interpersonal, project management and presentation skills with the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas. Good to summarize complex issues.
Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner.
Can work under pressure. Honest and take responsibility, hard working attitude.
Highly organized self-starter, quick thinking and quick moving
