MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Site Manufacturing Engineering main responsibilities are

• Industrialization of the new projects allocated to the site according to WPCP process and procedures and in full SHEE-QUALITY-DELIVERY-COST-CASH compliance ; Maintains continuous M&L communication on the project progress through Project DRM Board, escalating to the Project Teams and to the Chief ME when Project Steering Committee (PSC) escalation is necessary
• Prepares the Site for Launches and leads all Launch Activities, ensuring proper layout, training of all functions and staffing in full alignment with the Value Stream Structure; Accountable for SHE Line Release, Internal R@R for Technical Release
• Accountable for the Technical Capability of the line during the Ramp-up strictly following the process of Launch Control Boards
• Ensuring VS Operational Support for Manufacturing Capability, Continuous Improvements, CRP and CCP strictly applying M&L standards
• Manages the CAPEX for the site – all type of Capital Investment providing accurate Forecast and aligning the Actuals with Site Finance Controllers before uploading in Group System
• Ensures appropriate people development plans: Training in ME Techniques, Tools & Processes, Six Sigma and Quality, Ergonomics, Financials

Main contact point for the Chief MEs for process standardisation and project launches

• Receives footprint decision and detailed project targets
• Provides necessary details for cost, quality and process structure for Business Case (BC) to Chief ME
• Provides candidates for Blue Box (BB) M&L member & launch team resources

Main contact point to BB member

• Regular tracking and monitoring of launches in the plant
• First point of contact in case of launch project escalations
• Lead M&L BB Member and establish backward time plan for M&L WPCP tasks

Lead Manufacturing System Development with Site M&L Project Team

• PFMEA and all Quality tasks along with ME Quality Leader
• Process re-design as per PFMEA findings
• Equipment – machine, station, test bench – specification before suppliers consultation and PEAR submission
• Equipment development – SQDC

Ensures VS Technical support

• Allocates appropriate ME resources in each VS in full alignment with Site objectives and workload
• Accountable for Line Launch and Ramp-up
• Maintains Process Capability and Efficiency
• Leads Process changes whenever beneficial in strict compliance with GCC process and procedures
• Leads major CCP Technical projects related to Cycle Time, FPY/RTY, Break-downs, Cpk, R&R of MSA
• Is the Technical Resource in the VS

Standardisation & Knowledge Exchange

• Indicate need for new standards. Provide proposals and requirements
• Drive local conversion cost improvement projects applying group standard processes (rightsizing of capacities, redesign of current processes)
• Best practise sharing in the ME Portal with indication to Chief ME
• Capex evaluation and control (AOP and M&L PEAR Review)
• Implement defined ME process standards, train and coach MEs
• Career development of Manufacturing engineers

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 10 Years of Engineering and / or Manufacturing Experience in relevant mechanical industry like Automotive or other High Tech and Mass Production
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience of technical teams,
• Previous work experience in international business environment.
• Knowledge of Quality, Project Management and Lean Techniques

• Bachelor Degree in engineering,
• Strong manufacturing and process engineering knowledge,
• Recognized as product / process expert ,
• Proven experience of process technology definition and implementation,
• Strong communication, influencing and organizational skills, shop-floor focused,
• Strategic and Global thinker and Business Acumen,
• Team player – comfortable with matrix organization,
• Strong process management skills (Six Sigma Lean Green Belt and Lean mindset - Lean Practitioner recommended),
• Project Management skills,
• Strong Leadership – able to identify and prioritize key objectives,
• Capacity to deal and negotiate in different levels of the organization,
• Result driven and continuous improvement approach,
• Fluent in English.
