Job Content:

The Production Supervisor provides leadership, direction, and support for the hourly workforce to ensure overall business objectives are obtained. These objectives include but are not limited to safety, production, quality, cost, and delivery. Additionally, the Production Supervisor will act as a change agent to help implement process improvements and management initiatives at the floor level.

Specific Responsibilities:
1. Ensure steady flow of production activities, produce the right product, with the right quality and the right quantity at the right time.
2. Ensure optimal machine utilization
3. Oversee the Production Department scheduling, production control, inventory control and output
4. Motivate and develop a cohesive production team
5. Initiate, recommend, investigate, trouble-shoot and provide solutions and actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to the products, process and quality system
6. Lead a team of technicians and operators to meet production yield and target.
7. In charge of the workshop's daily output requirements and operational efficiency
8. Responsible for the workshop operators' discipline and attendance, as well as plan their working shift schedules
9. Is responsible for maintaining safe working practices for the well being of personnel under his jurisdiction.
10. Hold disciplinary meetings when necessary.
11. Any other duties as deemed necessary to carry out production requirements.

Job Qualifications:

Required:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering or related field.
2. 5+ years experience in the rubber industry (Mixing, Extrusion, Calendering,)
3. Ability to speak English and Mandarin Chinese.
4. Willingness and ability to travel internationally.

Desired:
1. 10+ years as production supervisory position in conveyor belt environment
2. Technical experience in conveyor belt manufacturing
3. Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, DOEx, 8D’s.
4. Strong PC skills – Excel spreadsheets, Minitab,

Skills:
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to influence others in a non-aggressive manner
Strong leadership experience in people and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate to all levels of organization.
Must be able to solve problems and technical issues.
Demonstrated ability to increase machining “up time”
