Candidates must:
? have excellent reading, good writing, acceptable speaking English abilities
? have a deep passion for technology
Candidates should (we can help with learning these skills):
have experience with
? Relational databases (specifically PostgresSQL database)
? Stored procedures (Javascript plv8)
? Linux environment
have practical database-related skills
? Complex SQL queries
? SQL query plan optimization
? Tweaking database parameters for performance
? Generating ad-hoc and automated reports
? Monitoring database server
? Exporting, transforming, importing data
We prefer candidates that:
? have used and implemented software engineering best practices
? source control, continuous build, automated tests, usability testing, issue tracking
? have contributed to OpenSource projects
? have used Git and Github
? have experience with other relational databases (specifically MySQL)
? have experience with key-value stores (Redis)
? have experience with document databases (MongoDB)
