Position: Engineering& Development Manager
Location: Wuxi
Report to: MD
Subordinate: 10

Overall purpose of the role:
? Have the responsibility for planning, organizing, coordinating and conducting all aspects for the execution of customer and company projects for product development.
? Closely liaise with Commercial and Production departments to ensure Project Management team works in parallel to the organization’s objectives.

Responsibilities:
? To manage Project Engineers & Managers, asses their competences, evaluate results and professional achievement;
? To verify department KPIs;
? Define project plan according to ISO TS & APQP standard;
? Organize programs against customer or in-house engineering programs;
? Manage the development of new products to ensure they are compliant with international or customer specifications;
? To work closely with members of the Sales/Technical team engaged in the research and development of materials, components and products;
? To work closely with members of the Sales to define product cost analysis and feasibility studies;
? To assist members of the Sales team in the development of new products to satisfy the environmental expectations of customers;
? Support the Quality and Manufacturing departments to ensure the smooth introduction of new products;
? To be responsible for ensuring that research and design projects are delivered to agreed deadlines, within budget whilst maintaining quality standards;
? Manage development project performance through targets and objectives in line with the business plan and budget;
? Prepare budget information as part of business budget preparation;
? Support Process Engineering team for proper production hand over and document verification.

Professional experience:
? Bachelor's degree in Vehicle engineering, mechanical engineering and or related engineering field;
? Fluent spoken and written English;
? 8+ years experience in Western automotive companies;
? Knowledge of project management standard
? Similar industry background is a must
