Job Summary ( Purpose of Job ) :

·Hire, train and build up competence on personnel to support TnPO in JTC
·Build up infrastructure for the workshop in JTC.
·Manage all Assemble Workshop operations in JTC.
·Drive and support global TnPO synergies & efficiencies.
·Manage daily assembly operational work for both Projects, AE, PM,External & Internal
·Manage personnel accordingly to PBP (or similar)
·Manage assembly work due to Volvo CE strategy and goals.
·Support TnPO, Field test and RG with adequate assembly personnel.

Roles of Job

1.Main Tasks/ Responsibilities / Authorities:

·Responsible for hiring Assemble Workshop resources to JTC.
·Responsible for Assemble Workshop resources in JTC.
·Provides focus on Safety of personnel
·Follow the TnPO strategy for JTC.
·Supports process improvement strategies (VPS, QDC, 5S, etc)
·Develops TnPO resources, thus providing suitable training/mentorship where applicable.
·Follows budgets outlined by Director TnPO JTC.
·Ensures all finished work from workshop personnel (new or modified machines) follow the common Global handover quality/delivery process.

Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:

·Experienced in managing White & Blue Collar personnel
·>3 years of experience within Engineering or in an Operations environment
·A working knowledge of quality & efficiency improvement tools such as VPS, QDC, 5S

Additional Important Requirements (e.g. language, mobility):
·Speak and write English fluently.

volvo construction equipment technology (china) is located in high-tech zone of jinan, shandong. volvo construction equipment jinan tech center will focus on r&d of construction equipment and components for emerging markets. it will be the first volvo construction equipment tech center in china, and the first tech center in jinan established by a world top 500 enterprise. volvo construction equipment tech center in jinan will undoubtedly play an important role in volvo construction equipment’s global r&d network, pushing volvo construction equipment’s strategic development and upgrading in china.

one of the priorities for the tech center is to build a strong r&d team comprising both local and foreign talent to bring new products to market. it is planned that up to 200 engineers could be working here by the end of 2013. volvo construction equipment jinan tech center will receive full support from volvo headquarters, especially in technology, resources, and manpower.
