The Project Engineer will lead and support various activities necessary to achieve Business Objectives, including capital project management, preventative and reactive maintenance activities, cost reduction and process control improvements while ensuring that the highest safety and environmental standards are maintained. Specific duties include: all phases of project engineering, maintenance planning, contractor management and administration, record-keeping and plant optimization. This position will also support other functions in the design of new processes, procuring equipment and services, minimizing utility costs and development and maintenance of engineering standards and practices.

· Provide classical project engineering support for capital projects, maintenance of current systems, designing new processes, etc. to reduce costs, improve quality and reduce EHS risks.

· Design, develop and maintain process control instrumentation and electrical systems required for the safe and efficient operation of plant processes.

· Analyze and recommend projects that result in low costs and high returns on investments.

· Design, implement and manage maintenance activities that result in low-cost, high-quality, and reliable operations.

· Analyze utility requirements and implement improvements that reduce operating costs and improve reliability.

· Support deployment and integration of new product processes and technologies.

· Improve asset utilization (cycle time improvements, reduce working capital)

· Understand, deploy and improve engineering standards consistent with company's policies and programs.

· Bachelors Degree

· 5-8 years working experience

· Demonstrated skills in delivering results.

· Demonstrated passion for learning new skills and tools.

· Expertise in chemical facility project management

· Expertise in maintenance management, including Preventative Maintenance programs

· Expertise in DCS instrumentation, data historian and electrical systems.

· Demonstrated ability to manage EPCM contractors

· Able to understand and articulate financial impact of design decisions on business and operations costs.

· Proficient at use of computer systems (MS Office, CAD, SAP a plus)

· Fluent in English - speaking and writing
