职位描述

Position Title: Regional Sales Manager- Product Specialst (RC) - South



Dept/Team/Function: ResMed China

Job Objective: To establish and provide the necessary management, planning, training, organization and control of ResMed distributors in Southern China in order to assist them in achieving the annually assigned sales budget obligations in line with company objectives.

This Regional Manager position, based in Guangzhou, operates within the Asia Pacific division and reports directly to China Country Manager.


Responsibilities & Accountability:

· Achieve the budgeted Sales and Profitability targets in line with company plans in the responsible region.

· Develop and implement business plans in Line with country objectives in the responsible region.

· To establish a structured reporting system which enables optimal management and monitoring of distributor sales processes.

· Manage the company's distributor(s) and maintain optimal relationships and conditions for the company with them.

· Report and provide feedback regarding budget deviations on a monthly basis to management.

· Maintain ongoing contact with major customers and essential industry bodies in responsible region.

· Maintain effective contact relevant influential government and ministry departments in the responsible region.

· Prepare and suggest on an annual bases appropriate Business, Sales and budgets plans for the responsible region.

· Direct the preparation of operational matters and reports including Market Research, competitor activity, advertising, marketing support, distribution and customer service standards in line with company objectives for the responsible region.

· Ensure that all local business activities comply with relevant acts, legal requirements and ethical standards.

· Other tasks and responsibilities as directed by Country Management.


Qualifications:

Minimum: Tertiary Qualifications in Business Management

Preferred: Degree in a Science/Medical related Discipline




Skills/Experiences mandatory:

· Must have at least 10 years local Industry Experience.

· Senior Management Experience for at least 5 years

· Experience in Sleep/Respiratory sales area. (Preferable)

· Thorough knowledge of Chinese Business practices

· Knowledge of the relevant local Industry and customer base.

· Good English Skills Essential (Knowledge of Cantonese beneficial)

· Demonstrates a sound understanding of the ResMed product portfolio and local customer base / market

· Prioritizes and manages own time and resources over the short-term to ensure that distributor and customer needs are met.

· Follows through on distributor and customer inquiries, requests or complaints and keeps distributor and customer up-to-date regarding progress

· Determines the needs of the distributor and customer through probing and listening and asks clarifying questions to distributor and customer to ensure understanding

· Distributes useful information to distributors and customers in verbal and written formats in a clear, succinct manner that facilitates understanding

· Provides friendly, helpful service to the distributor and customer and grasps distributors' and customers' perspectives.

· Promotions / Product Communication:

· Actively supports the timely roll out of promotional activities and communication of well defined messages to targeted existing customers.


Position Challenges:

· Dynamic commercial environment therefore will need to have the ability to effectively multi-task and work with differing personalities

· Will need to anticipate the changing organisational needs and accordingly that of the China team.

· Since this role is looking after all the Southern China region, frequent travelling to other provinces is required.


Position Specific Skills:

· Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project (desirable).
