Technical Supervisor, BIM &Smart city

This position is recognized as a Sector technical expert role specific on Digital Built Environment services, including but not limited to Building Information Modeling(BIM), Smart City and Smart Community. As the technical expert role reporting to Digital Built Environment Sector Head, it is empowered for shaping, developing and managing BSI Digital Built Environment Certification Schemes, Assessment and Training, along with supporting the Certification team and wider business areas on technical specialism including but not limited to:

  

• Certification Schemes and Assessment of BIM;

• Certification Schemes and Assessment of Smart City & Communities;

• Professional Training and Capacity Builidng Program design and delivery of BIM and Smart City & Community;

• Drafting and Assessing technical proposals of BIM and Smart City & Community Services;

• Responsible for developing the sector technical support and service delivery activities.

• Work closely with Digital Built Environment Business Development Supervisor to enhance the total DBE technical and delivery service in China;

• Synergy with other BSI Standards and Training programs such as IoT/ICT to provide a ‘One BSI’ service in Digital Built Environment Sector;

• To be of experiences in digital construction sector expert or specialist involves developing the digital construction service capabilities and capacities.

Major Responsibilities

  

• To help with sector head to provide sector technical understanding and enhance the Digital Built Environment sector business in conjunction with sales, marketing, operations and training to jointly achieve Financial objectives and sector development KPIs;

• To Develop and optimize the current BIM & Smart City certification plan, and lead the audit service of DBE certification;

• To Develop the BIM and Smart City Training program in China, and fully lead the operation and delivery of the training program;

• To Review and continually improve the technical related issues and to improve the whole DBE business development;

• To assist the sales and business development of BIM and Smart City in China;

• Act as a technical window to Global Head of Built Environment oversight in the timely resolution of delivery and technical issues etc;

• Act as a brand Ambassador for BSI. This means acting ethically, following company rules and promoting Company services to clients so they are able to optimize business performance and Make Excellence a Habit.

              

  

Education and Experience

  

• Good teamwork and critical thinking;

• Expertise in BIM knowledge or qualification(i.e.: from solution provider, design or construction company), and BIM adoption and implementation;

• Experience in BIM standards adoption or implement is at preference;

• Experience in BIM training design and delivery is at preference;

• Experience in smart city and community program are at preference;

• Demonstrated teamwork, project management and problem solving skills essential;

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate across teams;

• Ability to develop relationships and proven experience in delivering an excellent customer experience;

• Ability to work independently and remain calm whilst managing numerous priorities;

• Excellent presentation, organisation and problem sovling skills;

• Experience of working in a fast pace, customer focus services environment

• advantageous;

• Willingness to travel as required, both domestically and internationally.

                          

Language Skills

  

Chinese (Mandarin) and English fluency in listening, speaking, reading and writing
