We are looking for a passionate leader who wants to be part in our mission to provide a World Class Software Development Kit (SDK) to thousands of developers within Ericsson. We at the Baseband Infrastructure (BBI) sector provides the SDK to all Ericsson Radio Access Baseband applications 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G. It consists of operating system libraries (kernel, boot loader, communication and observability services) as well as a tools suite (code editor, debugger, compiler, build system, test framework and trace functions) tailored to the Ericsson proprietary hardware EMCA (Ericsson Many Core Architecture).

We are now looking for a Section Manager to Beijing. Main focus at start is to build up a new section. Define the scope together with other BBI line managers and recruit people in to the section.

You will be an important part of the Baseband Infrastructure LT-team, committed to coach and develop strong, highly competent, result and customer focused teams and employees and enabling possibilities for them to succeed. You will also be expected to take a holistic view for the completeness of Baseband Infrastructure. Leading in the BBI area requires close collaboration with the baseband community, HW development as well as the open source community.

You will

·       Facilitate and foster an open, tolerant and transparent culture where ideas can be grown, spread, challenged and realized

·       Actively listen to your personnel’s feedback and engage in conversations regarding any subject, technical as well as social. From the unified feedback and the company goals and strategies you clearly construct and inspire a vision about the direction of your part of the organization

·       Create an environment that empowers and motivates people and teams through mentor, stating clear expectations, providing support and a lots of energy

·       Manage delegated product responsibility in all aspects: quality, design, functionality, usability, maintainability and characteristics.

To be successful in the role you must have

·       Genuine interest in leading people

·       Strong personal drive and courage and passion to contribute where and when possible, both inside and outside your formal framework of responsibilities

·       Extensive SW development experience and interest, including Agile practices

·       Strong technical background in related areas

·       Strong transparent communication skills

·       Master of Science or corresponding University studies and a recent successful track record in R&D Line Management of SW Development

·       Excellent skills in English

Preferred Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

·       Experience from BB development

·       Experience from ASIC development

·       Experience of Open Source development

·       Experience from SW development using partners
