1 Scope
The scope for the Design Manager is to Manage product development and Manage products (Product Line) according to requirements.
The scope is also to provide support on product related matters within the company and provide technical sales support such as pre-sales and after sales services for the company’s business.
2 Roles / Responsibilities
The Design Manager reports to the company President.
To assist and support all operations within the company with updated product information.
To participate in Managed Foras with Product Development Unit (PDU)
To ensure products and components are developed and verified according to requirements and in accordance with the Ericsson PLCM process
To be responsible for the Design Department and fulfill the responsibilities described there.
Member of Management team
3 Operative Tasks
To manage the department
To drive product and component development
To develop staff within the department
To make yearly department expense budget
To investigate future product needs in the local market
To support internal Ericsson product development projects
4 Authorities
Authority to stop any manufacturing or sales of products which have been found not following the requirements
Authority to approve or reject designs of products and components
To approve any purchase requests within the approved authorization limit
To assign staff to activities within the department
To approve documents and reports within the scope of the department

Qualifications

University degree such as MSc or BSc
Documented experience in Hardware design
Leadership experience either as manager or Project Manager
Fluent oral and written English
International exposure
Leader with high level of integrity
Team player with positive attitude
