AIM

The principal aim is to supervise the management and image of store Merchandising by providing continuous practical training to the Visual Merchandiser and the store management teams.

DUTIES OF THE MERCHANDISING SUPERVISOR

MERCHANDISING SUPERVISION

To evaluate and monitor:

·The programming and management of Merchandising changes.

·The optimisation of selling space through the correct use of tools for analysing and calculating profitability (rotation file, sales rankings, etc.).

·Image maintenance in accordance with company standards.

·The implementation of basic and temporary Merchandising rules and messages issued by the Department.

·To provide advice on the management of certain product tools (extra orders, transfers between stores, blockings and unblockings, etc.).

People management:

·To train local Visual Merchandisers how to display the collection in the store in accordance with company standards.

·To cooperate in evaluating the progress and development of the Visual Merchandiser.

·To keep the Area Supervisor continually informed of Visual Merchandising issues, in terms of the rules and procedures and their implementation.

Communication:

·To keep the entire team informed of any innovations or changes with regard to Merchandising.

·To maintain constant communication with the department.

SKILLS

The Merchandising Supervisor must be familiar with the following:

·The company's customer service standards.

·The factors that affect employee development.

·All Merchandising rules and tools (basic and seasonal).

·In-store product management tools (extra orders, blockings, unblockings, etc.).

·Our products (the collections, their characteristics and their location in the store).

The Merchandising Supervisor must also be familiar with the basic characteristics of all of his/her stores, with the 100 questions and the job description.
