JOB DESCRIPTION
1 Sales Manager
Corporate Unit: North China Region(NCR)
Location: Yantai
Reporting to: Regional General Manager
Position Overview:
- Lead Yantai Sales team to achieve its target
- Acquire business from new customers, develop new business and maintain relationship with existing customers in order to achieve sales goal.
- Support sales staff and provide achievable targets
Key Outcomes:
- Achievement the sales goals of Schenker Yantai Branch
- Identification of potential customers and building relationships
- Development of a professional sales team
Position Accountabilities:
- Manage and organize sales activities for Yantai Sales team
- Increase new business and maintain existing customers
- Promote Schenker Yantai in local market and to overseas stations
- Ensure all RFQ (request for quotation), bids and tenders are replied to within the time specified
- Lead sales team generating qualified sales leads and have them followed up regularly
- Hold regular meetings with the sales team for market information sharing and exchange of selling skills
- Arrange joint calls and customer visits with sales, customer service, management, as well as overseas counterparts
- Ensure customer database is updated and all sales-related reports / plans are completed in a timely manner
- Perform any special duties or projects assigned by the management.
- Have regular communication with regional sales manager / other branches to follow up on mutual areas of sales targets such as promotions, new products and new customers
Relevant Education Background, Hard Skill, Knowledge and Experience:
- Academic degree in economics, marketing, business administration or a similar field
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in international freight forwarding industry
- Leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Knowledge of international trade and relevant laws, regulations, process and procedures
- Knowledge of common IT tools (MS Office suite, Customer Service Applications, Tracking + Tracing tools, supply chain modeling and/or logistics software etc.)
- Strong presentation skills (Ability to present complex solutions to internal and external parties on all levels)
- Proficient in written and spoken business English
