The main responsibilities are to manage the sourcing process and supply chain for aftermarket purchasing in China. He (She) will be responsible to obtain contracts with the most competitive terms and conditions, contributing to the company's revenue with the best possible quality, cost and delivery level (QDC); meeting customer's requirement, driving rationalization of work through continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage supply base (identification, evaluation, approval and development of strategic supplier) and implement sourcing strategy;
Drive QDC targets and track implementation (TCO, Quality, Timing) with support of plant buyer, project buyer & SD.
Negotiate framework agreements (FWA), QDC contracts,
Carry out project management for new products/projects developed in China
Carry out localization projects/low cost sourcing projects in aftermarket areas
Handle RtB (Request to Buy) as per purchasing process requirement;
Supporting role within PPD(Product Portfolio Development)
Support on recover warranty cost from suppliers.
Work in accordance with the Volvo CE processes, the Volvo Way, and the Volvo values and behaviours

Experience and Qualifications:

- 4-years university degree or equivalent in engineering
- International work experience and cross-functional team work is a plus
- Proven experience in sourcing for an international group
- Has proven capabilities in negotiation and communication.
- Prefer work experience within automotive and construction equipment industry

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

- Knowledge of Purchasing for sourcing and operation
- Has the required technical skills to understand and support the combined P&SM and R&D strategy.
- .Knowledge of manufacturing process.
- Excellent value driver analysis and activity based on cost analysis
- Understanding of supplier evaluation methodology;
- SAP knowledge is a plus;
- Negotiation skill
- Basic knowledge on legal requirements
- Incoterms 2000 and logistics cost drivers
- Fluent in Chinese and English (written and spoken)
