DESCRIPTION:

Strong capability on developing and managing regional technical sales team, participated in planning and executing regional specific technical growing strategy.

Provide comprehensive technical pre-sales support to SolidWorks resellers including developing and training resellers on demonstrations, product positioning, and competitive overviews. Product line support includes MCAD design automation tools, FEA (finite element analysis) and workgroup level PDM (product data management). Must be an expert SolidWorks user and be able to differentiate the SolidWorks offering from the competition for the full CAD/FEA/PDM product line. Deliver product presentations to prospects both at the end user and senior management level. Analyze and track reseller competencies and technical delivery. Help develop and answer RFP’s. Additional support responsibilities include close work with the local Major Accounts team, Product Marketing, and Development groups as well as national trade show and user group support.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 to 7 years MCAD & CAE industry experience.

EDUCATION: BS Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong knowledge of the MCAD/FEA/PDM industry coupled with a BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and 5 to 7 years mechanical design experience.
• Must be an expert SolidWorks & Simulation (or other CAD/FEA software) user and be able to differentiate the SolidWorks product from the competition.
• Experience in providing technical sales support for products competitive to SolidWorks is a big plus.
• Proven strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent customer relations skills.
• Proficiency with Windows applications and an understanding of Visual Basic technology is a plus.
• Must have 3D solid modeling and FEA experience, actual mechanical design work experience, and a technical sales background.
• This position requires 65% local travel.
