资格与经验:
专科以上教育水平。所需要的完备资格和市场知识必须是拥有至少8到10年的销售或市场经历的人才能拥有的。
工作技巧:
主要客户经理必须有对零售业深入的了解，有销售的背景并且是一个有技巧的谈判者。同时要求有一个对市场规则的深入了解。
能力:
该职位必须证明有目标分析能力和数字演示能力。需要的客户管理技巧,有客户计划的创造和执行能力，以及达成交易。
落实到细节，按时完成工作以及在压力下工作的能力是必须的。能对结果全面承担责任，能与他人共同工作，能影响客户达到预期目标的能力是很重要的。
主要职责:
达到重点客户的销售和利润目标 :
? 根据计划每月达成销售和利润绩效
- 销量和利润目标
? 策划促销活动和执行
- 年度和月度的促销计划
了解客户:
? 维护客户手册和客户文件
? 发展对客户业务的特殊了解(如，食品对非食品，商店的
位置，通路，竞争趋势)
? 明确客户做决定的流程
? 与客户组织内各个层次和职能的重要联系人维持良好的关系
? 通过内部网络使客户在ABF中占据重要位置。例如：一级 或者二级分销的销售数据
客户业务发展计划 :
? 执行每个客户既定的4P计划
? 建立客户行动计划,详细有:
- 范围的建议
- 价格建议
- 货架空间
- 时间表
销售、谈判和行动计划
? 准备：根据客户要求准备合理的财务协定来达到客户对ABF目标和行动的支持
? 谈判：在销售机会前，提前准备好数据以及通路促销条件
? 行动计划： 确保所有的义务和协定都有清楚的书面的对详细责任和时间的规定
和客户维护关系
? 对客户的反馈做出及时和全面的反应。
