JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervise the day-to-day work activities of the maintenance department.
2. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
3. Assist in the reduction of costs by managing inventory and ordering strategies.
4. Achieve maintenance competency on all equipment located in the plant
5. Perform follow-up audits of work completed and/or preventive work orders in order to maintain consistent workmanship.
6. Maintain the Work Order Database and identify any trouble areas through the data recorded.
7. Manage all maintenance personnel to the letter of the Employee Reference guide. Discipline as needed.
8. Research and implement new maintenance technologies as they develop.

2. Avoid unsafe practices or carelessness. Follow all Company safety rules and policies. Follow all safety rule specific to each machine and/or department.
3. Cooperate with fellow employees.
4. Is waste conscious of efforts and materials at all times.
5. Attempts to achieve quality product.
QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
2. Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude.
3. Must be able to think on your feet, work with limited supervision and make sound decisions.
4. Solid knowledge of company policies and the ability to hold people accountable.
5. Good organization, writing and verbal skills.
6. Ability to work on multiple projects and work the necessary times to accomplish goals.
7. Good motivational skills.
8. Capable of communicating with all levels of internal and external customers.
9. Should possess basic mechanical and electrical skills.
10. Capable of working in hot environment and in areas where inks and lubricants are used.
11. Must be capable of standing for long periods of time.
12. Must be able to frequently lift and carry 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
13. Must have basic troubleshooting abilities.
14. Must have good communication skills.
15. Must have basic computer and math skills.
16. Must be able to read basic English.
17. Regularly required to stand, sit, move about facility, climb stairs, bend, twist, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and fingers to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools and controls, grasp, push, pull, reach with hands and arms, lift above shoulder level. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
