SCOPE AND IMPACT OF POSITION ON THE ORGANIZATION:
Work with all levels of the organization to improve safety processes and overall safety performance. Interface with Engineering to support design - in safety principals for new equipment or processes (i.e.: Industrial Hygiene, Engineering for Health & Safety, Ergonomics, Purchasing, etc)
Coordinate with the Division and Corporate personnel, and lead implementation of company’s policies and procedures
Interface with regulatory agencies and authorities Administer Health & Safety program in compliance with terms of labour agreements, governmental and corporate requirements
Responsible for related management systems certifications, such as ISO14001, OHSA18001 and so on.
Evaluate and analyze the job hazard and potential risks of injury or occupational illness. Carry out the related measures to prevent the job hazard and occupational illness; Evaluate and analyze the risks in environment protection, waste treatment, security, anti-fire and related safety aspects and carry out related measures; Evaluate, analyze and creating the suitable working environment for producing lines, offices and so on according to the ergonomic theory.
Assist Site SHE Leader and functional supervisor in setting short and long term safety initiatives and establishing corrective action plans.
Controlling of the budgets of SHE management, saving cost and ensure the satisfied condition of SHE management.
Conduct reviews of new equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety and ergonomics specifications.
Attend Safety Observation Tours and provide coaching and mentoring as required to improve and enhance process.
Lead injury prevention & accident investigation efforts
Coordinate and/or conduct training programs
Conduct inspections to assess SHE performance against requirements
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Site SHE Leader to establish and improve an overall SHE system in C3 and implement corporate practices and processes in the Site.
