Primary Job Function

The Network Administrator works under the direction of the Director of Information Technology with input from the Director of Finance to support the business goals and objectives of the corporation. The Network Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, documenting, troubleshooting, supporting and monitoring of all day-to-day activities related to the organizations local area network (LAN). This includes all new and existing network hardware, software and communication links.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide a single point of contact for end users to receive support, maintenance, and training
Collaborate with corporate I.T. team members to ensure near and long term business goals are met through the effective use of Information Technology
Create and maintain Active Directory and Exchange email accounts
Deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all servers, PC’s
Deploy, configure, maintain and monitor core networking infrastructure including, but not limited to switches, routers, and cabling
Manage daily backup routines
Establish policies and procedures commensurate with existing global operations
Monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting existing telephone communication system



Education, Experience, and Skills

Any combination of education and training equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related areas.
Minimum four (4) years of experience in a similar role
Ability to effectively communicate technical needs in both Mandarin and English
Relevant Microsoft certifications (MCSE, MCITP, etc) are preferred but not required
Windows server administration consisting of, but not limited to Microsoft Active Directory Domains, Group Policies, print server, DNS, security profiles, and other Microsoft related technologies
Working practical knowledge of geographically dispersed LAN/WAN environments
Exchange 2007, 2010 or 2013 administration
Experience with VMware ESX/ESXi 4.x or 5.x, preferably in a shared storage environment
Experience with EMC or equivalent SAN storage technologies preferred, but not required
Firewall and VPN experience, preferably with Sonicwall technologies.
Enterprise Antivirus solutions, preferably Symantec Endpoint
Experience with both tape and disk backup solutions, preferably Symantec or Veeam
General knowledge of routing, switching, and wireless technologies
General knowledge of wireless barcode scanners
Basic knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP
Ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues related to networking
Experience with PC repairs such as replacing power supplies, memory, etc
Willing to work outside normal business hours as needed for maintenance and support
