Primary Function:
1. Lead the monthly process of closing, forecast and other consolidation for the region
2. Provide guidance and lead the consolidation process for profit planning
3. Closely monitor the budgets for the RHQ and ensure the accuracy of account reconciliation
4. Provide insightful analysis to drive management actions.
5. Drive process improvements within the finance organization, create and implement policies and procedures to improve the control environment and provide increased transparency of results.
Essential Functions:
1. Lead the monthly process of closing and forecast, including appropriate commentary to Group, Sector and Corporate leadership teams. Highlight areas of concern and recommend improvement actions.
2. Support controllers in the profit planning process as they work to orchestrate the efforts of the headquarters planning teams to develop a solid plan with all required presentation materials for Group and Sector review. Support the preparation of the Strategic Plan financials.
3. Closely monitor the budgets for RHQ by detailed expense analysis. Perform monthly review of account reconciliation to ensure the integrity of booking.
4. Drive financial process and systems improvements to insure the integrity of financial results and to improve forecast accuracy and reporting efficiencies.
5. Support commercial controller’s efforts to prepare materials for the monthly operating reviews and other reviews with Hydraulics Leadership.
6. Perform special analyses to support business decision making. – this can include financial analysis in support of strategic initiatives, changing business models, make vs. buy analysis, pricing models, etc.
7. Provide leadership to the Hydraulics finance organization in recruiting and developing top talent. Coach and mentor high potentials within the organization.
8. Drive profitability by customer/product margin analysis and close monitor order in-take and backlog.
Education and Experience:
? BS degree in Finance or Accounting. CMA preferred.
? 6+ year’s broad financial experience within manufacturing organizations. FP&A experience preferred.
Skill/Knowledge requirements:
1. Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
2. Ability to operate across, and influence within, a complex matrix organizational structure
3. Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
4. Ability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operations analyses/reports.
5. Broad general business knowledge.
6. Working knowledge of financial and ERP systems.
7. General knowledge of all functional areas of Region, Group, Sector and Corporate organizations.
8. Working knowledge of sourcing and manufacturing practices followed by Operations personnel
