I BROAD FUNCTION
Describe the position’s basic objective and scope
Manage edge band extrusion & mixing department (KAN) in order meet REHAU product as well as process
standards
II PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Outline the major duties and roles necessary to accomplish the objectives of the job. (Do attach
additional sheets if necessary)
· Technical instruction of staff (foremen and production staff) for new production sequences, the
introduction of new processes and production technology and refresher training on existing
processes.
· Overall responsibility for production technology and the particular production area.
· Responsibility for production in line with the data sheets.
· Carrying out improvements in production establishing means of increasing output and carrying these
out, improvements of tools and alterations to material consumption to improve the data sheet values.
· Elimination for production faults (article & machine faults, material problems), establishing ways of
preventing technical faults and putting these into action.
· Creating and updating data sheets.
· Ascertaining rationalization potential, working out suggestions for staff and technical rationalisation
and putting these into practice.
· Organize to sort out production which does not correspond to the data sheet (blocked goods) as well
as to deal with claims, resolve problems and if necessary allocating critical listing.
· Technical contact for the specialized departments regarding projects, new production sequences,
taking over tools, machines and processes, introducing new processes, collaborating on Technical
Costing (TVKs), carrying out trials, critical listing and technical rationalization measures.
· Recommending item of capital investment for improvement to processing.
· Carrying out analyses as part of the statistical monitoring of processes.
· Establishing measures to ensure continuous quality assurance and quality improvements and
putting these into practice.

III REQUIREMENTS
1) Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or
equivalent;
2) Minimum 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in a production or engineering
environment with at least 5 years in a supervisory / management position.
3) Good hands-on experience in managing plant operations.
4) Positive, strategic-minded and able to communicate well with all levels.
5) Strong leadership skills with high level of integrity.
6) Proficient in Chinese and German
· Collaboration on planning and carrying out QS audits.
· Provide support for the introduction of new quality control procedures such as process capability
studies and analysis, SPC data and corrective action recommendations and quality improvements.
· Drawing up factory and process instructions.
· Compile machine capacity forecast reports.
· Prepare and administer budgets for extrusion/mixing and lamination.
· Ensure correct staffing levels.
· Departmental Auditing.
· Improvement Suggestions/Zero Fault Program support.
