Primary function:
Under little supervision, the Senior electronic Engineer is responsible for design, analysis, test, release and support of wiring drives products, consistent with company and industry standards for quality, safety and reliability while optimizing cost and manufacturability. This position works closely with the regional and global design engineering team as part of a cross functional team and will be mainly involved in design activities.

Essential Functions:
1) Be a highly technical individual to participate in a product engineering team in the design, analysis, modification, or enhancement of wiring drives. Work to meet cost, performance, and schedule requirements.
2) Provide design specification, define the test requirement, and perform qualification test in support of product cost reduction program, strategic sourcing opportunities, product obsolescence replacements, manufacturing issues and any other product design changes.
3) Perform root cause failure analysis, analyze complex malfunctioning electrical and electro-mechanical circuits or systems and satisfactorily design and test a solution for the malfunction.
4) Develops and interprets schematic diagrams, engineering sketches, and assembly drawings for the purpose of constructing breadboards, prototype, and production hardware.
5) Guide and/or conduct testing to regulatory agency, internal standards, and international standards.
6) Utilize and interpret the following (not limited to) test and development instrumentation:
Digital oscilloscopes, Analog and digital volt meters and ammeters, Differential amplifiers with voltage probes, Current transformers and hall effect current probes with amplifiers, LCR meters, Tachometers, Torque transducers, Power supplies, Plotters, Personal computers, Spectrum analyzers, Logic and data analyzers, Dynamometers, and Environmental Chambers.
7) Applies knowledge of internal/external processes to develop and implement strategic work assignments. Writes reports, test plans, functional specifications, hardware descriptions, and other related or supporting levels of documentation.
8) Research new technology and electronic circuit application; apply innovation design to new product design work.
9) Takes accountability for meeting commitments and deadlines.

Qualifications:
1) Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or Electromechanical Technology.
2) 5+ years of experience in dealing with complex electrical circuits and products. Strong ability in circuit and product system analysis or simulation (experience with tools e.g. Simplorer, Pspice or Matlab is a plus). Solid expertise on power conversion, power semiconductor device theory, applied electromagnetic theory, analog and digital circuit, electrical machinery, control, and test/development instrumentation.
3) Experience in engineering document control and familiar with processing revisions on product documentation through the requirements of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
4) The preferred candidate will have experience in the field of wiring drives of electronics products, WIFI, power supply etc. (development engineering, qualification testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting).
5) Experience with designing for agency certifications such as UL, IEC, etc. as related to specific products.
6) Knowledge of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) processes/tools and SAP experience desired.
7) Demonstrated organizational, communication, and documentation skills in order to clearly convey status updates, technical issues, design alternatives, etc.
8) Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
9) Skills in collaboration and teamwork.
10) Good at English skills.
