职位描述
JOB PURPOSE: The primary purpose is to manage the overall Field Solutions process for resolving problems experienced by our customers. The secondary purpose is to collect, analyze and report key product field performance data in a monthly Post Retail Scorecard.
JOB RELATED STATISTICS: N/A
JOB DUTIES:
Facilitate the Service Agenda problem solving process meeting. This includes issue prioritization, assignment to responsible functions, root cause identification, solution development/validation, and solution implementation. This is a key role to manage the process and act as the go to resource to assist in finding creative solutions to resolving field issues in a timely fashion per the cycle time targets.
Collect, analyze and report key product quality performance metrics for all products manufactured at the plant. These metrics may include the following: R/100 rate, warranty cost, repair frequency, mean-time-between failure (MTBF), cycle time to solve problems, etc.
Analyze warranty data and Pre-Delivery Inspection data to identify trends and issues that need to be nominated for addition to the Service Agenda or communicated to other problem solving teams in the plant. All models that are assembled at the factory are included in the analysis.
Manage activities in the following primary areas:
1. Act as the Service Agenda process owner and facilitator. The key objective is reduction in the cycle time from issue identification to issue resolution.
2. Schedule and facilitate regular (bi-weekly minimum) cross-functional meetings to review relevant issues for product produced at the plant.
3. Monitor functions for roadblocks that delay the problem solving process and facilitate finding solutions that keep the process moving.
4. Track and report the cycle time for each major milestone and the overall process cycle time. Understand the dynamics that make up each milestone and make recommendations for improvement.
5. Work cross-functionally with factory Quality and Production departments to continuously improve the inspection checklists so they contain real-time customer field issues with the intent of preventing more units to reach the field with the same issues.
Manage activities in the following secondary areas:
6. Ensure timely collection of product quality performance data using various Field Solution’s standardized templates for reporting.
7. Validate accuracy of data through joint cooperation with other functional departments to correct erroneous data and gain consensus on prioritization.
8. Develop and evaluate comparisons between plant performance to help identify Best Practice areas and Opportunities for Improvement through global Field Solutions team participation.
9. Develop both detailed and summary Executive Level reports and presentations that explain the field performance level of the products and the trends in key metrics.
10. Support the evaluation of various software databases to help simplify the data collection, management and reporting of the quality data.
11. Manage the metrics database to streamline reporting of product performance.
Requires strong leadership abilities to coordinate and act as a driver in keeping all functions on track and working aggressively to solve customer field problems.
Requires a strong working knowledge of quality problem solving methodologies such as Six Sigma, 5 why, fishbone diagrams, and/or other relative methods.
Strong ability to manage cross-functionally and build a strong unified consensus.
Requires ability to work independently.
Conduct duties in a safe and professional manner at all times.
Requires solid background in managing databases and report writing, including use of MS PowerPoint, Word and Visio, and advanced experience in Excel.
SAP knowledge is a benefit.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
? Requires a BS degree in Engineering or Quality Management
? 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
? Proven track record of critical problem solving skills.
? CQE or CQA certification is desirable.
? Position requires strong analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills.
